What better way to see the lights of Dark Mofo than from the harbour? Here are four ways to disappear into the crisp, dark night and take in the red glow of the city from the River Derwent. Hopefully your inner night stalker has sea legs.

SV Rhona H
Got some wind in your sails? Put it to good use aboard the historic SV Rhona H. Sail past the lights of Dark Mofo on Tasmania’s only tall ship listed on the Australian Historic Ships Register. Night sails depart from Friday 10th June, adults $60 and kids $25, with hot refreshments included.

Odalisque Curious Cruise
Indulge your curiosities and join Travel With A Cause and Tasmanian Boat Charters as they paint the river red and have a party along the way! Cruises depart on the Odalisque from Elizabeth Street Pier at 6pm and 8pm on the 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th June. Tickets are $150 and include cocktails, beer, wine and delicious food. Hobart Yachts Night Sailing

Mona Roma
Release your inner demon and brave Asylum with a full day package. You’ll bus to Willow Court, then return to Hobart via Mona on the ferry. Trips depart at 11am Friday 10 – Monday 13 June, Saturday 18 June and Sunday 19 June. Tickets are $38.

Or, if you’re content with your current emotional state, zip up the Derwent to Mona on the MR-1 fast ferry and let Dark Mofo hit you in the face at full speed. The ferry travels between Brooke Street Pier and Mona every half hour or so. Check the timetable and book a slot!
