Bacchanalian Banquet: Dark Mofo announces 2025 Winter Feast Stallholders

The Winter Feast, Dark Mofo’s solstice banquet, returns to the Nipaluna/Hobart waterfront for eight nights of bacchanalian feasting throughout the festival fortnight.

Presenting over 70 stallholders, the Feast is once again set to showcase the best of Lutruwita/Tasmania’s impeccable produce and culinary talent, surrounded by music, firelight and community.

5–8 and 12–15 June, , Princes Wharf 1 and Salamanca Lawns

Held at Princes Wharf Shed 1 and Salamanca Lawns, the Feast is all about embracing the cold, gathering around open flames, and sharing incredible food and drink in the heart of winter. This year, over 70 stallholders will bring their A-game, dishing up everything from smoky skewers to wild desserts.

At the centre of it all is a one-off collaboration between guest chef Niyati Rao (from Mumbai’s Ekaa) and the Stillwater crew from Launceston. Their bold menu blends Tassie’s best produce with global spice—wallaby wings glazed in gochujang, sea urchin broth, and a whisky and pandan pudding that’s sure to warm your insides.

Highlights include:

  • Thi Le x Fat Pig Farm: Vietnamese banh khot with a Tassie twist

  • Analiese Gregory: Abalone, shiitake and black garlic skewers over fire

  • South: Possum bao (yes, really!) from the cosiest wine bar in Hobart

  • Moo Brew: Feast-exclusive dark stout to match your meal

  • The Gathering: First Nations-led opening night full of powerful music and storytelling

There’s also octopus sliders, dagwood dogs with a gourmet glow-up, creamy seafood chowders, and enough desserts to send you happily into hibernation.

The tunes are just as tasty, with over 100 music acts from across Tassie and beyond. And when you’re ready to dance off that second dessert, you’ll be in good company.

Good to know:

  • It’s a cash-free event—just tap and go

  • All cutlery and crockery is compostable

  • Free entry on Sunday 15 June thanks to City of Hobart

  • Sensory-friendly session on 15 June from 3–4pm (registration essential)

  • Season passes at darkmofo.net.au/winter-feast
