Flock to the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel

The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel showcases the Heritage-listed facade of a turn-of-the-century wool storage and treatment facility, located in the heart of Hobart.

Today, this historic gem offers spacious accommodation, fine dining and a hip bar. They also host a range of events, from corporate functions to dream weddings.

Accommodation

Guests enjoy spacious, modern apartments and hotel rooms in a building steeped with woolly history—what better place to hit the hay? Experience that warm Tasmanian hospitality, with reception and room service operating 24/7.

Choose from a hotel room or a fully self-contained apartment with kitchen and laundry facilities. Studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and deluxe spa apartments are available for you to count sheep in. Guests can also make use of the free Wi-Fi, onsite gym, parking, guest lounge, business centre and meeting room.

Tip: check the special offers for a great deal.

For the less sheep-ish, The Old Woolstore is a Mountain Biking enthusiasts best friend. There is an on-site bike wash, lock up and bike-friendly accommodation. They also have a great flock of friends (too far with the puns yet?) who can help you make the most out of your trip in Hobart on 2-wheels.

Eat & Drink

Don’t be sheepish—head down for breakfast, pop into Stockmans Restaurant for a light meal during the day, or treat yourself to a fancy dinner. The restaurant menu celebrates seasonal produce and utilises local ingredients of the highest quality.

Gather the flock and enjoy a drink in The Baaa Bar. Taste your way through a fine selection of Tasmanian beverages.

Room service is also available if you’re feeling peckish at any time of the day or night.

Explore Hobart

All the attractions of the Hobart CBD and waterfront are just a short stroll away. There are lots of wonderful things to do in Hobart, so don’t fleece yourself—stay as long as possible to ram in as many adventures as you can!

Enjoy fresh fish and chips right off the boat at the dock, stroll the famous Salamanca Market on Saturday morning, check out the collection at the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, wander up to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, catch the ferry out to Mona, join a Red Decker tour of Hobart’s hot spots, or catch the kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus up the mountain.
