Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November
Wander through eleven of Longford’s most exquisite private gardens, with new additions for 2024. Each garden hosts stalls offering rare plants, roses, bulbs, shrubs, and rustic garden art.
Alongside the gardens, enjoy gourmet food vans on the Village Green, BBQs at Christchurch and The Men’s Shed, and refreshments from local cafes and pubs.
Tickets available on the day from the Village Green Longford. You will receive a map and wristband.
The Woolmers Festival of Roses is poised to bloom spectacularly once again in 2024. Each year, this much-anticipated event draws thousands of visitors to Woolmers Estate, where they can immerse themselves in the beauty of the heritage site and experience the breathtaking display of thousands of roses in full bloom within the renowned Rose Garden.
While the blooming season extends through the warmer months, the Rose Garden Festival weekend will be a highlight, celebrating the peak of the season. Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions, including stalls offering rose and garden-themed goods, plant sales, art and craft displays, and local produce. A selection of food and drinks will also be available, with the estate’s café open for light refreshments.
This festival offers the perfect opportunity to explore one of Tasmania’s most iconic heritage estates while indulging in the vibrant colors and fragrant blooms that make Woolmers Estate a must-visit destination for garden lovers.3
Expect an eclectic mix of genres, from folk, traditional, and roots to jazz, blues, a cappella, and barbershop. You’ll hear everything from guitars and harps to cellos and string quartets, filling the air with beautiful sounds.
The festival’s performances take place at designated verandahs, all within walking distance around Evandale’s scenic precinct. With ticket numbers capped for a more intimate experience, it’s wise to purchase early when tickets go on sale in October to secure your spot.

Campbell Town’s newest gallery, Harmony on High Street, opens its doors on the weekend of November 23-24.
Visitors can browse a variety of handmade creations, including gifts, homewares, clothing, jewellery, sculpture, and more. The gallery will also offer basic art supplies.
The grand opening will feature live demonstrations by several of the artists, and a “Clay Play” activity for all ages. Harmony on High Street will host its first exhibition, MIDLANDS, running through January 1st. Open daily after the launch weekend.

A Schubertiade is a festival that celebrates the music of composer Franz Schubert. Over a spring weekend in November we bring you our own Schubertiade, with TSO musicians and guests performing the best of Schubert at Woolmers Estate.
If you’re a lover of chamber music, our Schubertiade weekend is an experience not to be missed.
