Awarded annually by The John Glover Society Inc., the Glover Prize is open to artists globally, inviting them to explore and express the essence of Tasmania through painting. The competition defines landscape painting in its broadest sense, sparking conversation around the meaning and possibilities of landscape, painting, and Tasmania.
The winner receives an impressive $80,000 cash prize, along with a bronze maquette of John Glover, designed by sculptor Peter Corlett and valued at $5,000. As an acquisitive prize, the winning piece becomes part of the Glover Prize Collection.
