Work with USA’s Christopher Kiver in an intimate, curated workshop!
Festival of Voices is delighted to welcome Christopher Kiver (USA) to lead our second ever Chamber Choir Workshop! Designed for the capable, experienced singer, participants will explore ensemble singing in a blended and balanced niche choir. Chris will mould a wonderfully cohesive ensemble and present a professional level Chamber Choir at The Power of Harmony; our special Festival opening concert, celebrating our 20th anniversary.
Workshop participants will be selected by audition only. Singers are invited to submit an application form and audition video without delay as places in each voice part are limited to ensure ensemble balance.
The Chamber Choir repertoire has been carefully chosen by Chris and will include a broad range of musical genres, styles and eras.
This workshop is proudly presented in collaboration with the Australian National Choral Association.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
