Joe Chindamo’s Trio Fantastique (2022) sparkles with character, with its tango, waltz, and tarantella evoking Parisian nightlife while honouring Fance’s woodwind tradition and nodding to Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.

Poulenc’s Sonata for Clarinet and Piano (1962), written for Benny Goodman in his final year, combines wit, elegance and late-style poignancy, shifting between musical brilliance and lyricism.

Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds (1784), for piano, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn marries symphonic breadth with conversational intimacy.
