All dances taught. No dancing experience or partner required. All ages and identities welcome. Please bring a plate of supper.

E-ceilidh (with Ceilidh being pronounced ‘kaylee’) is a more riotous and eclectic variation on English folk, barn or country dancing. Simple folk dances done with high energy to driving live music.

Here’s a nice description of balfolk dancing, from Bal Folk Perth in WA: Originating in France, the balfolk dance phenomenon has swept the European continent and is now taking root in Australia. A modern take on traditional folk styles, balfolk creates meaningful connections through shared joy in music and dance.
