Every Sunday, come rain hail or shine, a busy street in the heart of Hobart transforms into a bustling farmers’ market.
Farm Gate Market has remained true to its simple, honest philosophy – if you can’t eat it, drink it, grow it, or meet the producer, then you won’t find it at Farmy.
Naturally, Tasmania’s distinct growing seasons make for an ever-changing array of incredible cool climate produce; reflecting only what’s in season locally is fundamental, too.
Nestled in a groovy alcove in the middle of Farmy you’ll find the Grub Hub.
This is where it’s at on Sunday in Hobart for breakfast, a cheeky brunch or lazy lunch, with all the hustle, bustle and smells of a street food market.
Since 2009 Farmy has now grown into an essential Sunday ritual for locals, one of the top five farmers’ markets in the country as voted by Australian Traveller Magazine and, Silver Medal winner at the 2015 Australian Tourism Awards for Excellence In Food Tourism.
See you Sunday.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
