It’s a Franko with the heat turned to max.
We’re firing up Franklin Square, and stretching our legs into the nearby carpark, for Tasmania’s only dedicated barbecue festival. Smoked and grilled, low-n-slow or charcoal seared, this is a two day feast cooked over flame and coals.
Tasmanian meats and seafood are the main events, with a side plate of awesome savoury, veg and dessert stalls.
Damn fine local brews, wines and cocktails to wash it all down, of course!
A massive 18 hours of rolling live music over the two days, from bangin’ interstate acts to local bands and DJs.
Kick back in the new Rancho Relaxo, there’s bean bags aplenty to go round.
Hobart: it’s getting hot in here.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
