Get Ready, Tasmania – SHIVER Is Coming!
This winter, MyState Bank Arena is transforming into SHIVER – the state’s only real ice rink! From 16 June to 27 July 2025, visitors can lace up their skates and glide across a massive 30m x 15m rink, bringing a true frosty adventure to Hobart.
Whether you’re a first-time skater or a seasoned pro, SHIVER delivers fun for all ages with children’s parties, private bookings, and plenty of chances to make unforgettable winter memories.
Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights are strictly for the grown-ups.
Step onto the ice under the glow of party lights, with the bar open and the energy high. SHIVER After Dark is your chance to skate, sip, and soak up the atmosphere with adults-only sessions every week.
On select nights, we turn up the tempo with themed DJ sets from Kombi Krew. Come dressed to impress, lace up, and glide to the sounds of everything from retro hits to rock legends and smooth R&B.
Themed nights include:
Fri 4 July – ’80s Retro
Sat 5 July – Rock Anthems
Fri 11 July – R&B Vibes
Sat 12 July – Country Hits
Fri 25 July – DisGlow – Neon Party
Get ready to Glide on the Edge of Excitement!
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
