The heart of Festival of Voices.
Experience the vibrant after-hours magic of the Singers’ Lounge from Friday 27 June to Saturday 5 July 2025 (excluding Monday evening). Set in the Salamanca Arts Centre’s Long Gallery, the Lounge is more than a venue—it’s where the Festival truly comes alive.
Each evening kicks off with performances from talented artists and choirs, followed by an open mic session where anyone can step up. Whether you’re debuting new work or singing solo for the first time, this is a space that welcomes all. Add your name to the blackboard, take the mic, and join a room that thrives on courage, connection, and creativity.
In 2024, we saw seasoned acts like The Velvetones and Mama Alto share the stage with first-time performers who bravely declared, “This is the first time I’ve ever sung in public.” These raw, joyful moments define the spirit of the Lounge.
What makes it truly special is the all-in-together vibe. The line between artist and audience blurs, creating a sense of community and celebration that feels distinctly Tasmanian.
Entry is $15 on the door unless you have a Festival of Voices 2025 lanyard, which gives you complimentary access throughout the Festival.
Come be part of the magic. The Singers’ Lounge is waiting.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
