A display that features photographic work by renown Channel photographer, John Redeker.
The beauty of changing light and mood in Tasmanian landscapes reproduced on canvas continues to fire John’s photographic appetite. He has a keen eye for ageing farm buildings, especially those approaching an age of stately decay. John also enjoys the challenge of wildlife photography, especially that featuring birds. John has the ability to capture and highlight movement and colour against wildly varying, often camouflaging, backgrounds.
John has been awarded prizes in various photographic competitions and has had his work displayed in a wide variety of publications, including UK’s prestigious Country Life magazine, Australian Country Style, Australian Coast and Country, Dogs Life Magazine, and New Zealand’s commercial FoodService magazine. He also has an impressive array of commercial commissions.
This display will run until May 1 and it will almost certainly prompt an enthusiastic reaction among visitors to the museum. It is ideal for a family outing during the school holidays.
