Glamping – luxury camping, in one of Australia’s first truffle orchards, on a spectacular amphitheatre on the property on the banks of the pristine Derwent River.

Guests stay in 8 spacious, (75 sq metre), safari tents, fully equipped with king beds, lounges, heating and cooling, electric blankets, refrigerators, and tea, and coffee machines, The attached ensuite bathrooms, uniquely contained in in large water tanks, feature hand-made wooden baths, a separate rain shower, and a radiant heater.

Each spacious tent has a large deck with rocking chairs, a hammock, and outdoor furniture, overlooking the river. Every tent has a spectacular river and valley view. Wooden walkways link the tents to the lodge buildings.

The dining and lounge lodges overlook the river, and their glass walls and open decks offer wonderful views. Both have lush furnishings, rich timber, original artworks, and wood fires.

The property is rich in wildlife – platypus and trout in the river, and echidna, wombat, wallabies, devils, and possums on land, and the riverine vegetation abounds in birdlife.

Activities include fly fishing, kayaking and biking, wildlife spotting, and walks in the truffle orchard.

The property is designed and built to incorporate eco-friendly principles and is a designated Land for Wildlife property.
