Makers on Church St is a vibrant, spacious and welcoming place to visit. This is a must see when visiting Geeveston which is only a 45-minute drive south of Hobart and a great stopover on your way to the well known southern tourist attractions including Hartz Mountains, Tahune AirWalk and Hastings Caves.
Filled with amazing Tasmanian woodcraft and handcrafts by people that just love to make beautiful things, including Tasmanian timber furniture, wood turned items crafted from unique timbers including huon pine, sassafras, myrtle and blackwood.
Also home to the well known handmade range of DeEmDe Trendy Kids clothing and accessories, plus amazing papercraft, handmade teddy bears and signs, cards, jewellery, knitting, crochet and so much more.
Our main focus is handmade - but you will also find studios stocked to the brim with clothing, wool, card and scrapbooking supplies, an eclectic collection of books, gifts and homewares.
You can visit every week day, and we are only too happy to help out with Huon Trail tourist information. The Forest and Heritage Centre is located across the road and you may even be lucky enough to view a platypus in Heritage Park.
Opening Times: Monday - Friday: 1000 - 1700, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 1000 - 1630. Closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
