We’ve got to give it to you… You snap happy, rugged up, excitable winter festival-goers really got into Paint the Town Red this year!
Businesses, residences and landmarks throughout Southern Tasmania really turned it on, and you were there to capture that wild Dark Mofo spirit on camera. Thank you for sharing your sizzling snaps with #pttr2019—there were more than 1,000 photos entered in the competition all up. Brilliant effort!

The 12 finalists have been announced and we need your help to choose the winner and runner up. Check out the shortlisted photos and vote for your favourite photo via The Mercury by 5pm this Friday, 5 July. Winners will be announced the following week.
There are some wonderful prizes* up for grabs:
- The winner will receive accommodation at MACq01, a full day tour for four people with Bruny Island Safaris, a $150 voucher to spend at the Tasman Restaurant at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, a bottle of Sloe Gin and a tasting and tour of the McHenry’s Distillery, and two season passes for the 2020 Dark Mofo + City of Hobart Winter Feast.
- The runner up will score one seat on Above and Beyond’s city scenic flight, a 2019 Winter release of Forty Spotted Gin from Lark Distillery, and a $100 voucher for Ibis Style’s award-winning Bar & Asian Kitchen – Mr Good Guy.
