A Cottage in Richmond has been designed and renovated with you in mind. Tasmania’s Richmond village is just a short drive from the city of Hobart but an absolute world away. The village sits on the banks of the Coal River which is spanned by the historic Richmond Bridge and the streets are lined with Georgian buildings which are home to galleries and cafes as well as private dwellings. A Cottage in Richmond is perfectly positioned near the Richmond Bridge and an easy walk into the village centre.
The Cottage is a perfect base from which to explore Coal Valley Wine region, have a day trip to Hobart and Mona or the Tasman Peninsular. The cottages log fire keeps the space toasty warm and the big comfy chairs are perfect to sink into after a long day of enjoying a day of site seeing. The cottage also has French doors which open onto a sunny paved area.
A Cottage in Richmond offers a concierge service and helps organise day trips as well as transfers if needed. Greg also has a helicopter experience – what a way to see some secluded spots in Tasmania!
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
