Ben Lomond Campground

Ben Lomond Campground is a campground within Ben Lomond National Park, managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania.

The campground is located several kilometres below the summit, in a beautiful area of lowland gums and mountain pepper bushes. It offers 6 unpowered sites that are suitable for tents or campervans, and are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. There are no camping fees.

Facilities at the campground include a toilet, drinking water, and a lookout. Total site number and capacity are estimates only. Fuel stoves should be used. In snowy and icy conditions, the road to Ben Lomond National Park may be closed without notice at the barrier 4.5 km from the alpine village.

Please follow the link for further information about this campground. Refer to the ‘Know before you go’ webpage on the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania website (parks.tas.gov.au) and take a moment to look over our essential information for visiting Tasmania’s national parks and reserves, including information about alerts, safety and national park entry fees where applicable.
