Campers are welcome to explore the farm which has a substantial amount of bush. There are pigs, sheep, chickens and geese.
Due to the mountain location, winter campers may wake up to snow on occasions when the forecast is for snow above 500m.
Those that hike to top of the ridge will have views of Derwent River and Mount Wellington.
