Create Do & Mend is the little sister of the arthouse New Norfolk, a Cafe, Gallery and creative event space opened by David and Nicky in March 2021.

Born from a love of art, community, and the simple joy of making, Create Do & Mend (CMD) opened its doors in December 2024 adding even more colour, craft, and creativity to the Derwent Valley.

The mission is simple: to contribute to the already rich and vibrant arts community here in the Valley. It’s about belief in the power of making—whether it’s painting, stitching, sculpting, fixing, or building.

At Create Do & Mend, you’ll find a curated range of art and craft supplies, it’s also home to a growing program of workshops, classes, and community events for all ages and abilities—from beginners to experienced makers.

Whether you’re popping in for supplies, staying for a workshop, or browsing from afar, you’re part of the creative story they’re building in the Derwent Valley.
