Luxury, boutique accommodation in Battery Point, the historic heart of Hobart, Tasmania. Fusilier Cottage is an iconic 1838 bluestone and sandstone colonial cottage, with a stunning contemporary architect-designed extension. Ideally located in the village centre of Battery Point, it is a five-minute stroll to Salamanca Place and the Sullivan’s Cove wharf area.
The cottage sleeps six, in four comfortable bedrooms with a spacious living space opening to the garden. Featuring a floor-heating system, complementary wood fire, and off-street parking.
The cottage has four bedrooms. On the ground floor, the Hampden and Waterloo rooms cater to couples; one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed . Upstairs, the two cosy dormer rooms are furnished with outsized single beds Bed furnishings have been selected for quality, comfort and style.
A spacious glass-wall lined living area opens directly onto the contemporary cottage garden, with views across Kelly Street to the distant hills. The space flows into the kitchen and dining area, with a table for six. A well-equipped kitchen features a heavy brass bench, ample preparation area, an intelligent oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher and microwave.
The main bathroom features a luxurious white stone bath, walk-in shower and brass fittings. A discrete laundry in a cupboard contains the washing machine and dryer. There is a smart television, Sonos sound system and WIFI throughout.
