Hartwood Farm is a beautiful Art Deco farmhouse surrounded by extensive gardens, on the edge of the wilderness deep in the Huon Valley.
The house sleeps eight in four generously sized rooms, all lovingly decorated with attention to comfort and a hint of vintage whimsy. Each room can be set up as king or two x king singles.
Three separate living areas, with televisions, games and books ensure everyone gets the space and entertainment they need.
Hartwood is a place to relax with loved ones, with a loungeroom fireplace, an outdoor firepit, three three-person sauna and a single-person spa bath. There is a fully appointed induction kitchen, kitchenette, outside BBQ and two bathrooms. A full laundry is available to guests and a dedicated EV charging point.
With acres of gardens to explore, a resident platypus, rare native animals and birds to be spotted, we hope you’ll find Hartwood the place to connect with yourself and your loved ones.
The barn, next to the house, is also an ideal venue for small to medium weddings and events, and we are happy to accommodate corporate groups or retreats.

We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
