Jim Bacon Memorial Reserve in West Moonah features a combination of open parkland and a 2-hectare remnant of rare black gum forest. This reserve also serves as a habitat for various bird species, including the endangered Swift Parrot. Amenities include playgrounds and picnic shelters. Located approximately 16 minutes from Hobart’s centre, the reserve can be accessed via Devines Road, Thornleigh Street, and Hudson Crescent.
