Lēoht is a cafe & restaurant in Hobart’s historic Battery Point. The seasonal menu celebrates Tasmania’s premium cool climate wine, exceptional local produce and specialty coffee.
Built in 1853, the interior of Lēoht’s historic Georgian cottage celebrates natural light, Tasmanian timbers, local brick, woven textures and wool. A working fireplace, sunlit front terrace and rear courtyard (both dog friendly) make this a warm and inviting year round dining destination.
Lēoht is less than 10 minutes walk from bustling Salamanca with free two hour street parking.
Lēoht prides itself on always finding room for walk-ins and accepts bookings for groups of 4+ for breakfast or lunch. The recently opened venue plans to extend into evenings in May 2025.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
