This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
A peaceful property located on the edge of Longford, bordered by heritage hedges and home to Longford Berries, a popular pick-your-own berry farm (open seasonally). There is easy access to the property and the wide camping area, which has plenty of space, is level, and enjoys delightful morning sunshine.
The property is suited to self-contained travelers only, those that have their own toilet facilities. The property is near some of Tasmania’s best-known trout fisheries and only four km from world-heritage Woolmers Estate. A safe and welcoming base camp from which to explore this popular region!
Well-behaved pets are welcome. Whilst we can accept campers all year round, the Longford Berries operation is only open throughout the berry season, usually from mid-November until mid April, depending on the weather. Longford Berries is a family-owned PYO Berry farm that has been operating since 2003, the first farm of its type in the Northern Midlands.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
