Lumeah Retreat is named after “Leumeah” from the Tharawal Aboriginal Language, meaning ‘Here is rest.’ It’s all in the name – this property is set up for a family vacation. Located in the township of Adventure Bay in South Bruny Island, this home is the perfect base to explore the island or just take a short walk to the beach or the local general store.
This home has all the features of a holiday retreat and has been perfectly furnished and decorated. Lumeah Retreat can accommodate up to 10 people in four bedrooms, making it ideal for family gatherings or a trip with friends.
The living space offers access to a flower garden and a partially covered deck with lots of sitting areas. The master bedroom has an ensuite, and the other three bedrooms have access to the family bathroom via the master bedroom.
Lumeah Retreat offers a fully functioning kitchen, a dining room, a large fully fenced backyard, a wood heater, reverse cycle air conditioning, a BBQ and a deck, and is only 250 metres to the beach.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
