Old Orchard Farmstay offers visitors an opportunity to leave the daily hustle far away and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures in Tasmania’s beautiful Huon Valley. This self-contained cabin is located on Old Orchard Farm, a market garden following organic and regenerative practices.
The cabin is perfect for a couple or solo traveller looking to slow down. The studio layout includes a well-equipped kitchen so that you can enjoy produce from the Huon Valley. On arrival, you’ll find a small basket of seasonal produce from Old Orchard Farm. Some pantry items are also supplied. Your stay also includes some provisions for breakfast. You’ll also find a coffee plunger, espresso machine and kettle to ensure your day begins well. During the daytime, gaze at the river from the window seat or read a book. At night, relax in the luxurious king-sized bed with French flax linen bedding and extra pillows.
There is free WiFi in case you need to connect to the outside world but there is no TV. There is a selection of books and games.
The charming town of Geeveston is a five-minute drive or 30-minute walk away, while the riverside town of Franklin is just 10 minutes away. The seaside town of Dover is less than 30 minutes by car. Hobart is 50 minutes by car.
