Sandtemple is a beachfront shack, resting lightly on top of a tiny sand spit between Cremorne Beach and Pipe Clay Lagoon with direct water access to both.
A unique tiny home where the sun sets and rises over water.
Immerse yourself in nature by soaking in the totally private hidden outdoor tub or befriend the shy Pademelons in the garden or walk the beach and coastal path.
A seaside shack since the 1940s, we have lovingly restored Sandtemple using up-cycled and sustainably sourced timber. Bespoke interiors and books collected from our travels encourage a feeling of home. Let the sound of the sea lull you to sleep whilst wrapped up in a soft doona. Be sure to pack your swimmers for a dip in the sea or your windbreaker for a blustery stroll along the seaside cliffs.
Every window has a view of water and the sun pours in keeping you warm over the winter months. It feels as if you have left the busy life behind yet we are only 30 minutes from the centre of Hobart and all of the attractions available there. It is also only 20 minutes from the airport. The garden is a simple coastal dune and you walk across daisies to access the coffee/wine seat and through boobyalla to the beach.
You will leave refreshed. We guarantee it.

We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
