Escape the stress, relax, and enjoy a peaceful escape on 132 acres of forest and farm at Sassafras Springs. Collect fresh eggs and produce from the organic orchard and vegetable garden.

Sassafras Springs has six unique cottages offering cosy self-contained accommodation for two, four or six people. It is a great hub for all the activities of Mt Field National Park, Maydena and Lake Meadowbank. The private forest walks on the Sassafras Springs include temperate rainforest and a fern-lined rushing creek. It is also a convenient and comfortable sleepover spot with welcoming fireplaces and complimentary port on the route to Strahan and the West Coast.

The one-and-a-half-hour drive from Hobart passes through the antique shop town of New Norfolk and the beautiful Derwent Valley.
