Sommers Bay is located in a small valley that connects Conical Hill and Point to the peninsula.

At the base of the one-kilometre-wide U-shaped bay, you’ll find a narrow, 200-meter-long, south-facing shelly beach (T 368), backed by 200 meters of ridged sand flats.
