This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
Welcome to Tasmania’s most popular Pick Your Own fruit farm! Sorell Fruit Farm offers our award-winning forager’s experience, as well as a fantastic spot to pitch your tent or pull up your van and spend a peaceful few nights under the stars. We are a short 2-minute drive into the heart of Sorell, with regular buses available into Hobart city. Included in your stay is a container of beautiful seasonal fruit per night you stay! The fruit available seasonally includes; strawberries, cherries, plums, pears, nectarines, apples (variety), and more!
The campsite is a peaceful, level patch where campers have access to our clean onsite bathrooms, and access to drinking water. Well-behaved pets are welcome to come along too! It’s such a memorable experience to wander through the farm and pick your own fruit, and then relax with scones and tea in our onsite cafe, all at a leisurely pace knowing that you don’t need to rush anywhere as you’re staying on-site. Please note, the fruit picking experience depends on the season, as does the cafe opening hours.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
