Newly completed in June 2024, The Bay House is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom property for up to ten guests, located in stunning Opossum Bay, Tasmania –approximately 35 minutes’ drive from Hobart Airport or 45 minutes’ drive from Hobart itself.
Situated on a 1700-sqm block with views of kunanyi/Mount Wellington and only a short walk away from Mitchells Beach, Shelley Beach and Opossum Bay, The Bay House was designed with everyone in mind – culinary enthusiasts, families, beach goers, honeymooners, adventurers, those looking for a break, and all in-between.
At the heart of the property, an open-plan living space with integrated SONOS sound system features a generous kitchen and butler’s pantry stocked with everything you need for your stay, including basic pantry provisions.
Maximising indoor-outdoor living, the lounge spills out onto a north-facing alfresco area, complete with a Gozney pizza oven, bar fridge, built-in barbecue and plenty of seating. Out the back, you’ll find a generous deck and lounges and firepit for stargazing well into the evening.
For the big and little kids alike, there’s an in-ground trampoline and a quarter-sized basketball court, as well as two bikes and everything you need for a day at the beach or an evening of board games.
We also have an EV charger, ducted heating and cooling, indoor fireplace, Zip Tap with sparkling water, Vintec wine cabinet, and much more.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
