Enjoy the thrill of flight in the serenity of a glider with Tasmania’s only Gliding Club.
Experience Tasmania by soaring over the Heartlands. Gliding Tasmania is located between the two charming country towns of Oatlands and Ross. Located in Tunbridge, an hour drive south of Launceston and ninety minutes north of Hobart off the Midlands Highway.
The two-seater glider powered by a certified pilot-instructor will take you on an intimate and extraordinary flying experience. Encounter a view of Tasmania that few get to see by soaring to a birds eye view.
Come down for air and then soar up to be one with the clouds. As the glider lifts through thermals, lucky passengers might have an Eagle escort.
Gliding provides a remarkable memory of your holiday and unique photos to be envied by friends and followers alike.
Choose from three experience packages. Before take-off, your pilot will explain the features of your glider. The tow plane takes your glider to your requested release height. Your qualified flight instructor will perform the takeoff and landing. During your flight, you will have the opportunity to take control of the glider under the guidance of your instructor.
