Wellesley Park is located in South Hobart and is roughly an 8-minute drive from Hobart city centre. The park comprises two distinct areas:
Wellesley Park Oval: Found at 94 Wellesley Street, this high-quality sporting ground is primarily used for soccer. When not in use for sporting events or other activities, it can serve as an off-lead exercise area for dogs.
Wellesley Park Playground: Located on Wentworth Street, this playground features creative landscaping, natural play opportunities, and new play equipment, offering local children an inspiring and fun space close to home.
Facilities and features across both areas include: public toilets, BBQ, dog bag dispenser, options for dogs both on and off lead, recreational facilities, seating, shade trees, shelter, walking tracks, and suitability for weddings.
