An Ecotourism Australia Certified Operator and Green Travel Leader holding ECO Certification since 2011. Sustainability is embedded across operations, from supporting local producers and accommodation partners to educating travellers about fragile ecosystems. The Conservation Custodians program, developed with land managers, scientists, conservation organisations and Traditional Owners, lets guests actively contribute to conservation on tour.

Environmental benefits

Guests contribute to habitat restoration, biodiversity monitoring and citizen science. In Tasmania’s Tarkine region, guests join the ‘Claws on the Line’ program (with the Bookend Trust and NatureTrackers), recording endangered freshwater crayfish sightings via iNaturalist to support scientific research and conservation.

Social benefits

Supports regional Tasmanian communities by partnering with local accommodation providers, restaurants, wineries and guides, keeping tourism revenue within regional communities.

Life’s an Adventure

Life’s an Adventure offers pack-free guided walking experiences that connect travellers with nature, culture and community. On selected Tasmanian tours, guests join the Conservation Custodians program, taking part in hands-on projects such as habitat restoration, biodiversity monitoring and citizen science, guided by interpretation of each landscape’s ecological and cultural significance.
