Almost everything that goes on at Raptor Refuge can be construed as positive impact in action. From the recycling initiatives to volunteering, this place unites both workers, suppliers and visitors in a common cause and is 100% driven by doing good for Tasmania’s raptors.
Rehabilitates sick, injured and orphaned raptors and supports habitat rehabilitation; recycling initiatives and a volunteer-driven model focused entirely on the wellbeing of Tasmania’s raptors.

Raptor Refuge is committed to securing the future of Tasmania’s raptors by rehabilitating sick, injured and orphaned raptors, educating people and supporting habitat rehabilitation. Visitors can book a private Walk and Talk Tour; enjoy a private picnic experience for two; join a watercolour workshop to learn how to paint an owl; or they can immerse themselves in a Rescue to Release Workshop. Private educational tours are also available for groups, including schools. There are also two eco-friendly accommodation studios nearby.
How you can help
Book a raptor experience or donate through the website. Donate through Recycle Rewards (select Raptor Refuge at the recycle kiosk or in the app). Become a Raptor Refuge member for ongoing support. Help spread awareness by putting a sticker on your car.
