Join us on an exploration of the Tasman Peninsula and South East, a journey filled with the clink of glasses, the aromatic allure of cellars, and the warm embrace of passionate artisans.

Discover the stories woven into each sip, the traditions celebrated in every pour, and the unspoken beauty that lies within these vineyards, cellar doors, and distilleries.

Make your way from nipaluna / Hobart along the Tasman Highway towards the Tasman Peninsula. Your first stop, is a short 30 minute journey from the centre of nipaluna / Hobart, Brinktop Vineyard. From here, your journey heads east and south, with 11 Vineyards, Cellar Doors and Distilleries to visit, ending at the award winning McHenry Distillery at Port Arthur.

The vineyard, built on the old Killara Farm between Richmond and Sorell in SE Tasmania, grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, and Syrah.

2. Nonesuch Distillery

Nonesuch is a family-owned and operated distillery established by Rex and Annette in 2015. Located in Tasmania’s South-East, just 15 minutes from Hobart Airport. As well as seeing how their premium, small-batch products are produced, you can sample the premium hand-crafted Nonesuch products.

Southwood is a ½ Ha vineyard of pinot clones (4 varieties) planted in December 2020. Southwood is a working farm, a vineyard, a family home and a beautiful place to gather with friends.

The vineyard is a picturesque location looking out over Marion Bay with Sparkling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir available for tasting and sales.

Cape Bernier Vineyard offers a Light Food Menu every day and a Lunch Menu on Saturday and Sunday. Bookings are required and accepted on the day but call ahead on 62535443.

Bream Creek Vineyard is a pioneer of the modern Tasmanian wine industry, producing elegant and complex wines. Their cellar door overlooks the grape vines and features views to Marion Bay, Maria Island and Hellfire Bluff.

Sit down and enjoy a tasting from the wide range of wines, while grazing on a platter of premium ingredients or perhaps a dozen Tassie Gold oysters from their friends at Blue Lagoon Oysters (located just down the road).

Impression Bay Distillery

9. Impression Bay Distillery

The establishment is an artisan distillery with a cellar door producing spirits from an in-house still. It provides tastings for visitors, and the product is sold on-site. Take in panoramic views over Impression Bay and the surrounding rural countryside.

For the remainder of the year, they are open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. At other times by appointment only. We suggest you call the distillery (62503183) to confirm opening hours before planning a visit.

11. Premaydena Hill Vineyard

Premaydena Hill Vineyard produces premium single-vineyard wines, focusing on high quality over high volume. Opening 14th December 2023.

The Distillery’s southern location takes advantage of the cool, moist maritime environment providing perfect conditions for whisky making. The Distillery uses its own abundant clear spring water that flows directly into the distillery and becomes the heart of the developing spirit.

Tours and tastings daily. McHenry Distillery has recently added two new modern eco-cottages allowing visitors to have a longer more leisurely visit to the Distillery.
