Nestled off the well-worn tourist track, The Granary is a magnificent sandstone, convict-built building that has been restored into luxury, self-contained accommodation.
The Granary has been described as one of those rare and special places that exudes beauty, character and warmth, a place that makes you feel instantly at home. Beautifully refurbished, bathed in light and providing all the creature comforts of home, this former Granary is now a stunning three bedroom house.
Surrounded by superb gardens, with spectacular views of nearby mountains and the Macquarie River, the Granary comfortably accommodates up to six guests; two queen rooms and one twin room. There are two bathrooms (one ensuite) both with floor heating. The open plan living area opens up to a large balcony with outdoor seating, enabling guests the opportunity to truly appreciate the picturesque countryside that has become synonymous with Tasmania.
Secluded walks to the river, trout fishing and a complimentary tour of the main homestead garden are all available.
Catering options are also available for guests.
Ideally located twenty minutes from Launceston Airport and perfectly positioned to explore all that Northern Tasmania has to offer, The Granary provides a truly unique and unforgettable country accommodation experience. An idyllic place to relax, reconnect and unwind with friends and family.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement.
As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
