Wellington Terrace is a heritage listed three storeys, three bedrooms Victorian terrace, that ticks several boxes, historic, close to the city and with amazing views. Located in Hobart’s sought after city-fringe suburb of the Glebe.
Built in 1885 the home is only a 10-minute walk or 5 minute drive to the City centre and Salamanca, surrounded by Hobart’s sporting precinct, with Hobart Aquatic centre, numerous sporting grounds and running tracks. The starting point on your Southern Tasmanian adventure. Built in 1885, Wellington Terrace lives up to its name with its spectacular uninterrupted views over kunanyi/Mt Wellington over all three levels.
The living room contains a fireplace that is perfect for the cold Tasmanian winters (and summers). Our favourite thing to do is light up the fire and kick back with a nice glass of wine. We also have a 55” Samsung The Frame television with most streaming services available via the high speed internet and many boardgames to enjoy.
A fully equipped kitchen/dining room is found adjacent to the living room, with French doors that open onto the balcony. An oven, air-fryer, conduction cooktop, dishwasher, and microwave are all provided. Dine on a 1870s Kauri pine table from the Barossa. Basic pantry essentials as well as coffee and tea are provided. A gas-heater keeps the room warm when needed.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
