Overland Brewers and Distillers is blazing a new trail, crafting and pairing modern beers and whiskies in pursuit of peak deliciousness.
An operating craft brewery and distillery, Overland is open to the public pouring brews through its on-site taproom and whisky bar. The venue, which opened in North Hobart in June 2022, now offers a full menu from Overland Kitchen and an outdoor dog-friendly beer garden.
Overland’s flavourful session-able beer styles are crafted to be paired with whisky – the Boilermaker menu features current pairings – and are poured directly from the brewery bright tanks behind the bar. Available for pre-release tasting are Overland’s experimental and effortlessly approachable Rye and Single Malt whiskies. Core range Overland beers are also available to take away from the taproom.
Fresh pub fare from Overland Kitchen compliments the drinks list, using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients.

We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
