Set in the historic Georgian sandstone village of Oatlands, The Imbibers is a beautifully restored building housing some of the best local food & beverages. The Imbibers are all about tasting and experience. Their menu is all about tasting flights, platters and small plates that highlight the amazing produce of the local region. Come visit us, taste, then take home the things you love.
They have a fully stocked bottle’oh! of Tasmanian wines, spirits, beer and cider all sourced from the local region. The Imbiders highlights the Coal River Valley, with just a little nudge into the Derwent Valley, south east Tasmania and the southern portion of the east coast (just to mix it up a little).
If you love wine and cheese (as much as they do) then this is the place for you!
Later openings by booking – min. 8 people. Featuring Happy Hour(s) Friday and Saturday 4-6. ‘Round the clock’ tinnies from 5 pm Thursdays

We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
