Lightwave is an annual winter arts festival celebrating ‘people and place’ across Turrakana Tasman Peninsula. Lightwave fosters community connection and collective warmth in the darkness of winter. Lightwave takes the phenomenon of light as a catalyst for the festival’s multi-artform programme.

Lightwave presents three days of music and art events in and around Nubeena. The main event features live music, contemporary light-based art, delicious food, and community warmth.

Join in The Light Parade led by the nine-piece XIXA, see The Laser Show in the school hall, step into the library for kid’s story time readings and check out the various light-based art installations across the Nubeena township.

See the website for the full programme including Inner Glow, a range of physical warm up activities programmed in local halls during daylight hours over the festival weekend.
