Charles Reuben Estate Vineyard, Distillery and Accommodation is located at Tea Tree in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley wine region. Tea Tree is a five-minute drive northwest of Richmond (8 km) and a 30-minute drive north of Hobart (35 km).
The ‘Pinot Cottage’ is a secluded, self-contained timber cottage on the vineyard with two bedrooms, a spa, and a wood fire. The open-plan lounge and dining area include a fully equipped European kitchen. The lounge room has a beautiful view over some of the vineyard and contains a wood fire.
Established in 1990, the four-hectare/ten-acre Charles Reuben Estate has plantings of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling in addition to other Bordeaux varieties.
Since 2015 Charles Reuben Estate also grows high-quality Lavender varieties for oil production and culinary use.
In April 2019 the family business also added a specialised brandy distillery. We produce the finest European style small batch fruit brandies as well as Cognac style aged brandy (available from late 2021). Currently we have a selection of fruit brandies available including cherry, apricot, raspberry and blood orange. In addition, we have made a Gin and an un-aged grape Brandy (Tisco)
