Teds Beach Campground

Teds Beach Campground is a campground in Southwest National Park, managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania.

This campground makes a great base for exploring the variety of nearby lakes and enjoying short or longer walks. In the evening your nocturnal hosts may even pay you a visit – look out for possums, pademelons and maybe even a Tasmanian devil.

Teds Beach Campground is suitable for tents and caravans. It has a boat ramp, toilets, non-treated water, picnic facilities, free electric barbecues and shelters.

Bookings are not required and camping fees do not apply. Scotts Peak Dam receives more than 1870mm of rain each year. Extreme and unexpected weather changes are common in this area. Strong winds, sleet and snow are possible at any time of the year. Please take all rubbish away with you. Total site number and capacity are estimates only. Always check local signage and the PWS website for campfire restrictions before lighting a campfire.

Please follow the link for further information about this campground. Refer to the ‘Know before you go’ webpage on the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania website (parks.tas.gov.au) and take a moment to look over our essential information for visiting Tasmania’s national parks and reserves, including information about alerts, safety and national park entry fees where applicable.
