Cute and cozy sunny converted barn in a central location, located near the neck beach on Bruny Island. Enjoy ocean views from the lounge sofa or whilst lying in bed upstairs in the loft. Situated on 8 beautiful acres with pasture and bush, next door to the main home, but you’ll still enjoy privacy and peace, only with the occasional horse and dog that may visit from time to time!
Simple facilities, including a heater, microwave, fridge, sink with cold water, kettle, toaster, induction cooktop, and small TV. The double bed is upstairs in the loft, but please note, the stairs to the loft are quite steep. Bedding and towels provided. There is an outdoor gas shower, or you are welcome to use the shower in the main house if we are home. There is a camping toilet or bush toilet, or you may use the house toilet if we are home.
A very peaceful location with lots of birdlife and walks nearby. It’s a picturesque 10-minute coastal walk along to the beach and just five minutes to the sea cave.
We acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a destination that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors, Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
